Velérie Messika launched her first line of jewelry in 2005. With her collections Move and Skinny, it only took a few years before Messika was setting its mark. Valérie Messika is the only woman in France who runs her own independent Jewelry Maison in France.  This has resulted in a youthful, innovative and exciting approach to diamonds something the industry was sorely missing.  

“Yes, this is something we are very excited to share. We are expanding our jewelry section in our store on Nedre Slottsgate starting with Messika, which finally will be available in Norway. The jewelry is truly remarkable, with a unique quality both in terms of the diamonds and the craft. At the same time, we think it’s exciting that Messika is a pretty young brand, both in their design approach and in their existence. It will be interesting to see how Valérie Messika will use her heritage as the daughter of diamond dealer André Messika, while adding something new to jewelry design,” says Aleksander Bjerke Opsahl from Urmaker Bjerke.
