The Christmas opening started outside EGER with a beautiful song from Majorstuen Chamber Choir, followed by a warm welcome by host Marthe Bratberg. In front of a fully packed Egertorg in the middle of Karl Johan, the lights were lit to Hanne Krogh singing «Vi tenner våre lykter» («We light our lights.»)

Afterwards, Karlsrud Skoles Musikkorps led the parade with cheerleaders, drill girls, Solan and Ludvig, as well as many other mascots, around Steen & Strøm and the magical Disney windows.

In Nedre Slottsgate, in front of Steen & Strøm, Lisa Stokke came on stage and performed some of her most famous Disney songs, the atmosphere was vibrating when when she starte to sing "La Den Gå" («Let It Go») from the movie Frozen.

We hope all of the 2,500 people attending came in as much of a Christmas spirit as we did!
